Since our first meeting with our wedding planner Shirley, she was very good at understanding and communicating our needs and wants. Which couple doesn’t fantasize their dream wedding to the most perfect and finest way? But we are glad that Jelo is very honest with us to pinpoint what can or cannot be done based on their experience and industry insight without overpromising the clients.

For design and decor, my wife and I always shared a similar theme that we like and had a big picture of what our wedding would be like. After telling Jelo our ideas, we gave them very much freedom on the design and we were able to hands-off on one of the biggest parts of our wedding until every time we received a nice draft of the design that we are always satisfied with. Trust me, they work hard and smart on every single one of their design (and you know they are artistic designer, so sometimes great inspiring ideas came in the last second), so never rush them on deadline and they will turn impossible thing possible in a practical manner.

For wedding planning, we had to say we absolutely made the right choice when we decided for a wedding planner (a certified one, neither your best friend nor wedding party) because we understand that planning the “only one” wedding in a lifetime is never easy and when things go wild it can hurt relationships (whether with your family, friends, or even your fiancé!) Of course, having a wedding planner doesn’t mean now that you are off the hook and happily ever after. Ultimately it’s our wedding and our job to make it enjoyable for ourselves and our guests. But what I wanted to point out is that a wedding planner knows what our agenda looks like and she knows it well. So any unexpected we came across throughout the year of planning and the day of wedding, we don’t have to panic and we can trust that our wedding planner would find a solution to the problem. At first it almost feels like we were paying for a service and added an “insurance” to safeguard our wedding, but it turns out we earned great friendship and memorable experiences with Jelo as a great bonus at the end.

We had a very last-minute request for our baby #2 shower. Jelo P&D was able to work with us closely within a very sensitive timeline (from finding a venue to deciding on cake/party favor).
